Big Fun Fest is Saturday in Black Canyon City

Black Canyon City is the place to be Saturday for the 2nd Annual CommUnity Fun Fest and Veteran's Day Parade sponsored by the BCC Chamber of Commerce and BCC Community Association.

"We want visitors to come to BCC and stay for the entire day," said Lori Martinez, chamber president.

The day begins with a pancake breakfast at the VFW Hall on the I-17 northbound frontage road at 7 a.m. and a flag dedication ceremony at 11 a.m.

The annual Rock-a-Rama will be at Albins Civic Center all day; a car show will take place from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Heritage Park; Arts & Crafts at Blue Mountain General Store; Native American Dancing at Harmil Plaza from noon - 2 p.m.; BCFD fire wise awareness at Heritage Park; afternoon band at Javelina Crossing; Hog's 'n Heat BBQ at Rock Springs from 1 - 11 p.m.; Awana bake sale at Heritage Park; health fair at Harmonic Touch; bluegrass music; outdoor food at 4B's Café and food vendors throughout town.

The 7th annual Veteran's Day parade begins at 4 p.m. and the fireworks show at dusk at the old dog track. The Tumbleweed Junction Band will play at Kid Chilleen's from 7-11 p.m.
