The owners of Rock Springs Café in Black Canyon City now offer their nationally renowned pies for sale and delivery online at www.rockspringscafe.com.
The popular café along Interstate-17 is famous for its pies, not only with locals, but also with frequent travelers of Arizona's highways and pie lovers across the nation.
"This was the logical next step for us," said Rock Springs Café co-owner Augie Perry. "We sold more than 60,000 pies last year and the demand is tremendous. We wanted to make this something Americans can enjoy year-round at their convenience."
Customers can order every pie offered at the Rock Springs Café, including seasonal fall favorites like pumpkin, pecan, and the ever-popular Jack Daniel's Pecan. Customers either can order online for pickup at the café, or for delivery anywhere in the continental United States (cream pies and meringues are not available for delivery).
"We really wanted to launch our online ordering in time for the holidays," Perry said. "And we've come up with an Internet ordering system that really works for us and allows us to offer these amazing pies for family holiday celebrations."
A new coffee shop in the newly remodeled A-frame chalet at the front of the property opened this week. Jean's Sweetshop offers coffee and sweets such as cinnamon rolls, cupcakes and cookies, Perry said.
The building also houses the Jean Harlow Museum where visitors can see the bedroom furniture Harlow slept in as a guest during her romantic getaways with cowboy movie star Tom Mix.
Perry said the furnishings from Room 4, together with furnishings from Harlow's estate in California, form the basis for the museum.
