Mayer agriculture students invite the public to contribute to the compost pile between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Call the school at 928-642-1200 for other arrangements.
The compost pile will produce healthy fertilizer with these ingredients: eggshells, vegetable wastes, coffee grounds, hay, grasses, wood shavings, sawdust, horse and cattle manure.
Do NOT bring: chicken or rabbit droppings or pet waste, or fatty or meat substances (anything with amino acids).
