Awaiting Santa

Kids and adults alike were rapt as they awaited Santa's arrival at the Cordes Lakes Library Christmas party on Dec. 18.

Before his arrival kids played a game similar to a cake walk. When the music stopped, a number was drawn from the jar and the person on the matching number got a prize. This continued until all numbers were called and everyone got a prize.

Librarian Lynn Hummel read the story, Christmas in a Small Town, while Trish Rasmussen provided great background on the piano. Santa made sure each child had candy and a gift.
