| | Cordes Lakes Ice Cream Social a hit with all ages |
A social is much more social with a band playing, and The Pick-up Band with Mike Lankerd, Dan Chapman, Jeanete Chapman, Charlie Robonson and Bill Tehon on his homemade "Devil's Fiddle," entertained the crowd during the Cordes Lakes Ice Cream Social on Saturday, June 24 and helped the dancers kick up their heels.

About 80 people braved the threatening clouds and rain, including 23 from the Teskey families, to dedicate the Teskey Homesite on the Agua Fria National Monument Dec 12.
The Teskey site is located near Cordes Lakes at the north end of the AFNM along Big Bug Creek.

| | Cordes crowd enjoys parade, festivities |
On Saturday, Dec. 19 the Community Center at Cordes Lakes was abuzz with Christmas activities.
It all started with the Electric Lights Parade with many floats, ATVs, and various vehicles all decked out for the holidays. The local Volunteers in Protection Sheriff's vehicle led the parade of more than 15 other vehicles.

| | Cordes Lakes ice cream social a big hit in hot weather |
All of the preparation, donated baked items and Coca-Cola memorabilia created a very successful evening during the Tuesday Club Ice Cream Social on Saturday, July 18.
The kitchen workers prepared the basics before the crowd arrived, which was a very good thing as it truly was a crowd.

| | Vi Martin celebrates 90th birthday with family and friends in Cordes |
On Friday, July 3, Vi Martin returned to Cordes Lakes, where she had lived for about the past 30 years, to celebrate her 90th birthday.
Most of Vi's family was in attendance, including children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
