All of the preparation, donated baked items and Coca-Cola memorabilia created a very successful evening during the Tuesday Club Ice Cream Social on Saturday, July 18.

The kitchen workers prepared the basics before the crowd arrived, which was a very good thing as it truly was a crowd. And they didn't just eat and run - it became a true social with old friends having the time to sit and chat over their banana splits and sundaes.

The cake walk was a full house with Karen Gusenius the winner. The balance of the baked items were auctioned off with Gabe Piccinini sporting a big grin with his strawberry cake. Butterscotch and lemon pies, cupcakes by the dozens, turnovers, and cakes were guaranteed to satisfy anyone's sweet tooth.

Donna Correll won the bid on a six-pack of Coke in original bottles. It was a lively auction as cups, glasses, napkin holders, photos and other items came up for bid.

Young and old alike enjoyed the ice cream treats to order. Damian Bryant was quite happy with his, but brother Noah was carefully checking it out. And we know the firemen must keep in shape, so the ladies removed all calories in the confection eaten by Derek Hinkle.
